2D Crochet Dragonfly Applique

I found these two patterns online from "Esperanza Rosas". I had to have the page translated but these are her designs and she has posted on youtube also the video tutorial to make these so go watch them! ^^ Just so you know... the videos are not in English :P so just follow along with the picture if you don't speak spanish.

The nice thing about pattern is that it is somewhat 3D as well from the tail and she shows you how to do this twisted look in the videos. (You have to do the tail by hand not with the hook)

2D Crochet Turtle Applique

Ok so I found 2 free patterns for turtles. This first one is a delicate turtle pattern. Quite nice... :)

She has a nicely written out pattern so try it! You could try changing the color of the shell to make it look different as well :)

This turtle I wanted to show you because it's a 3D 2D applique :P ya what does that mean :P The shell is on top of the feet and head! Just like a real turtle! ^^  It's a nice idea i think it looks pretty cute with the bead eyes.

 I wanted to show this one lastly because the turtles are in the sea!! This is just so cute... Such a cute idea really...I found it on pin interest so who knows who made it but I also like the ratio of the arms and legs of the turtle really nice proportions for the sea turtles!

These are interesting...The change in colors is just beautiful...

These must be done with very very small hooks... look how flat the work is... i mean I could almost mistake it for knitting but it is crochet!... must be very small single crochet everywhere! And there is sewing on top as well. You can't achieve this kind of flatness without using a very small hook and maybe even ironing over it... right?

 These circles on top of the turtles must be slip stitch circles on top of the yellow which is why I'm preeety sure these are ironed and pressed down to make everything the same height even though there are different layers... Such a cool idea! I love these...

All of Qspings work is so intricate... even the sewing is very nice so if you are looking for some appliques to sew on to  your work these are just great!

These monkeys look different i think that their body, not the tail or outside of head, has been sewn over to create the look of fur... very cute... even the face has been sewn over...

The dress for the bears is just crazy... you definitely need verrry small yarn and hook to create these looks and I am so going to try this!

2D Crochet Giraffe Applique

This is a pretty cute pattern for a giraffe... especially if it's placed on a brown background the spots will really show through. I think it's a nice look instead of being solid :)

I've seen people doing this a lot on the internet. It's a pretty cute solid giraffe too!

Crochet Checkerboard Stitch Applied to Granny Square - From Crochetpedia

Checkerboard stitch is a very basic, very easy type of stitch that mannny people use when making blankets and pillows, even hats! It's one of those need to know stitches! It is a great beginner piece project too!
